Hi All!
I am currently a Senior Software Engineer(Backend) with 4 YOE. My current CTC is 21LPA (All Fixed) with additional Yearly bonus. I got a call from Google (Pune/Bangalore/Remote) for Software Engineer - Backend. I have the following doubts but any insights are welcome -
1. Does the lower designation offered make any difference?
2. Kinda ambiguous, but what kind of hike or ballpark pay can I expect?
3. Any similar interviews experiences or focus areas I should prepare for?
Who’s working in house in LA? Where? Doing what?

I have a fair amount of retail experience and have created a bowl to help fellow consultants who are interviewing in retail and CPG. My experience is across a wide range of topics (primarily non technical) and would love to help folks get their dream job. Would be awesome if others can join and contribute their knowledge.

Sure, those are also the ones who are most likely to hire you and understand your skill set
strong preference for no consulting experience
Depends from which firm tbh. I have a friend who got hired by ex-MBB partner and the guy runs his team into the ground. Anecdotal, but I would definitely think twice after hearing my friend's experience
In my anecdotal experience, if they're ex-consulting (especially MBB) with a team of ex-consultants, that's a hard pass. 50/50 if their team isn't ex-consultants, but in general I have a pretty strong preference for industry HMs who don't come from a MBB/T2/THE background.
It wouldn't make a difference at all to me, them being an ex-consultant alone doesn't tell me a whole lot

Is HM hiring Manager? I don't see why that matters.
