A 1-bedroom apartment is very difficult to manage taking calls for both me and my wife (we’re both on the phone all day), and we don’t have space to get office-specific furniture, leaving us to work at the kitchen table (no desk, office chair, etc.). Fish friends. I live in Kansas but am starting a new remote job working with a company North Carolina. Are there any tax experts out there who know how to not get screwed by how I manage my taxes with this new job?

When I was hired, I don't recall being informed about my salary being tied to my location. My employment contract also only makes one mention of location, and says "home office" and my state. I was recently told by HR though that if I move, my comp. will be lower. Is this legal? Should I consult a labor lawyer?

In my mind, I don't recall being told this and it's not clear from my employment contract, so I feel like they're breaking our agreement, and it feels unfair.

My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster.
