Foreign-educated RN + Business Manager, not US-licensed, with hands-on experience in CDPAP, HHA, private healthcare, residential mental health, veteran support, and retail management. The US roles I’ve held so far haven’t fully used my skills or properly challenged me, and I’m eager to find meaningful, fulfilling work that truly aligns with my background. Credential recognition takes time and money, so I’d greatly appreciate advice, insights, or role suggestions for before vs. after completion.

Additional Posts in Career Pivot

Does anyone have any recommendations of career coaches or where to begin to research legit ones? I’m a part-time MBA student at a top 25 program and have 13 years of work experience, mostly in government contracting, with a few deviations from the industry. I would like to use the MBA to make a career pivot, but I’m having a hard time choosing a path to target. I’d like to explore working 1-on-1 with a career/executive coach to help with this process.

Is it difficult to move without a reference. I got all the skills needed in current job market. But looks like getting a job call itself is difficult.
Or is it because of My H1B visa status.

I'm trying to figure out how to pivot out of my current job. My department is in utter chaos, which has just become completely unmanageable. I'm looking for front-end web design work, and work from home. I am a strong designer and basically set up landing pages for large companies on a proprietary CMS in our company. If anyone knows of places I could apply? I'm not trying to reinvent myself as I do artwork on the side and would rather grow that business and get out of the chaos of fortune 500.

Anyone struggling with imposter syndrome? When I worked for a very well known Fortune500 tech company I couldn't help but feel major imposter syndrome. One- I am a woman in a male dominated industry, I didn't go to a prestigious school like most of my peers and I just didn't think I deserved to be there. Everyday was a struggle and tried to keep myself small so no one would find out I was a "fraud." Looking back on it now, wiser and more experienced, I realized how detrimental feeling that way

Any resume writer referrals? I’m trying to make the jump into project management. I’m hoping a better written resume will help target algorithms to get my resume viewed for other roles.

Hi everyone. I'm pretty early in my career (just over 1 YOE) & not really enjoying my current role as a Consultant/Developer because of the type of projects I get combined with some mobility issues. Why is education deemed more valuable on a pay scale than experience? Employers will pay someone with a degree and no experience a greater salary, than someone who has exhibited the experience. Understanding that the degreed person committed to school and finished, yet that doesn't diminish what the not degreed has committed to and accomplished in their careers. This has to stop!

Hi!

I recently did a job interview and I made it clear to the HR my expectation salary is 60k a year, non negotiable.
Today I got the job offer and they are offering me 54k. My current company is making me 50k with tons of benefits which is why I am asking for 60k.

Should I accept the offer or renegotiate?
