I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

I spent my first ~3 years in transportation operations, got lucky with a more supply chain focused role for a med tech company then used that to springboard my education with an MBA focused on data analytics. It was the only way i get i could finally get away from a strictly logistics facing role, and into more strategic/business improvement roles. Now working in consulting with a plan to jump back to industry in a few year.
I guess my advice is, come up with a plan or roadmap and try to stick to it. It’s a long journey but worth it if you stay focused.
Good luck.
Do some internal work getting really clear on what you want not just from work, but from your whole life. Focus on relationships, personal growth, and work. Pay attention to what you’re passionate about; what excites you. Write it down. Review it. Refine it. Once you get clarity on your “life blueprint” you can start to explore.
