Guys , whoever is interviewing and planning to join , do ask project availablity on priority basis before you take decision. On Java front looks like there is some project issue due to recent slowdown in market. My offer was not revised even after agreement with recruiter because of this.

In all the years I've been doing this I've never seen the hiring process so brutal and unforgiving.
Yeah, looking for a job right now sucks I’m not getting anywhere. I mean I’ve maybe had three interviews and a lot of nothing so I’m with you and a lot of scams.
I'm so sorry this happened. I too had this happen, five interviews, the last two were panels of 4 people each. Only to receive a generic rejection email a week later.
In my opinion when candidates have gotten this far, the employer is being absolutely disrespectful by not providing some sort of direct communication other than a generic email.
couldn’t agree more with this :/
Had some of my best interviews everything's flowing, no awkwardness seems great.
Get feedback that I was great and everyone liked me, only to be told they won't be moving forward.
See position still open on the company site a month later. 🤷♂️
This is literally the same boat I am in. I just had 3 amazing rounds with BCG and they told me they are moving with other folks with more specific skills. The job is still actively being reposted on Linkedin lol

I've had two such experiences in my 6 months of unemployment, fortunately for me these were just 3-person interview panels, so not quite as much of a time suck. Both would have been a perfect fit, all convos went exceedingly well, positive feedback, and yet the role was given to someone else.
I've come to realize that, with all the layoffs in recent years, there is an unprecedented number of high-caliber talent applying to a given role, and there will be more than one person who is a "perfect fit" that they are choosing from.
I've come to appreciate having had a career and experience that gets me a seat at the table, however, getting asked to leave before dinner is served doesn't pay our mortgage.
Mine has a lot to do with age. It has a lot to do with the fact I had to take care of my father-in-law for about two or three years and not be able to work, even though I put it on my résumé of the gap of employment they’re not very very count at all about it so I understand what you’re saying
A lot of it too has to do with AI. They’re using AI to go through all of the applications and if you don’t put certain things, I guess in your résumé or application or whatever it skips right over you they don’t even see you so I think that’s really crappy too. I miss the good old days where you filled out an application and went in and talked to someone then having to deal with this I mean, it’s you against AI
Unfortunately I have faced similar situation with last 4 interviews. Made it to final rounds and then got rejected with no reason or feedback

Sorry to hear this bad news but unfortunately it happens quite frequently. They usually don’t tell you why but if you did so great it sounds like they decided to go with an internal candidate. It’s shameful for employers to interview external candidates when they almost always go with the internal one.
