Hi, we're searching for a job in HR for my wife. She's an MBA from India and has 10 years of work experiences across various HR roles in FMCG and Tech. Her last role was a HR BP and India site lead for a US based semiconductor major.
Is CIPD necessary to get a comparable role in the UK? While we undersrand it's a new market, would she necessarily need to start from a basic role again? It's difficult to balance studies, work and manage a 2 y.o. Any pointers or job openings would be appreciated.

Any advice on how to request a 20% raise? This is my first career out of college. I signed my offer letter knowing that I was being underpaid by 10%, as per the posted position salary. My 1-year appraisal is close and I would like to request 20% based on an increased workload; I would also like to make up for being underpaid my first year.

My dilemma: Many companies only pay up to a 4% raise. However, that will not cover much in this economy, and I would still be still underpaid.

Hey all, I'm approaching my 1yr anniversary in my current role, and I'm curious of what I should expect in terms of a raise.

I started at $57k base last year, with OTE of $70k

I received a small raise at the start of this year, along with a new comp plan so current numbers are $59k base and ~$80k OTE.

This role is in a life sciences vertical. SDRs in this vertical w/ a year of experience average 60-70k base.

I'd like to land at $65k, thoughts?

I’m currently a Consultant with about 1.5 years of post-MBA exp from a T10. I don’t think consulting is for me long-term and am interested in growing products / brands, specifically those that are consumer facing.

Most of my experience has been in Pharma. Will lateraling into Tier 2 that does retail, CPG, and other consumer facing industry projects give me a much larger oppt for me work at a company in one of those industries compared to my current situation?

Pardon my venting! 15 weeks pregnant and having abdomen pain (which may be because of gas), and severe acid reflux. Vomited twice since this pm, called my OBGYN, only to hear her say its expected and worse, if something is wrong, they can't really do anything about it. My logical brain agrees with her, but my emotional brain is scared, frustrated, and going to places I don't want it to go!
