Friends, I have cleared Amazon L5 interviews for the Non Tech Program Manager role. I have 11+ YoE and I am negotiating for L6 position. What should be the approx. figure to ask for both the levels . Also, it would be great if separate figures can be shared for Base Pay, Joining Bonus and RSUs (at current price of 115 USD.Amazon Amazon India Amazon Web Services Amazon Logistics Amazon Fulfillment

How long does Amazon take to release offer letter? It has been a week since the recruiter called and told me I was selected. I also have the salary breakup and date of joining given. Only offer letter is not yet released. How many days does it usually take for Amazon to release offer letter. Waiting so I can give resignation to my current organization. Thanks. Amazon Amazon India

Amazon ll try to make you settle for L5 only...So be clear in your head about what you really deserve.Salary you can demand as per your expectations..they always try to keep your current CTC as your base and ll offer 30-40 % max hike but not on base salary if Level is same, whereas it's not practiced in the US, there it's illegal to ask for the CTC. I will advice you to politely decline sharing your salary break up and salary slips. They may offer L6 if feedback from all the panelists is positive. For non technical positions mostly interviews are based on LP, i.e behavioural interviews ,here it's very difficult to have good impressions on all the panelists not because you are not good but because interviewers may have their biases specially Indian interviewers who may have 15+ years of experience and for years they are trying to move to L7 or L6. It's all psychology. If you can bring a rare skill on the table during your interviews then chance increases.
Perfectly said that it’s really difficult to impress all the panelist’s! I also notice that the HR always tries to low ball during the salary discussion.
No harm in asking. But as long as the interview is done, chances are very slim that they will change the Level. Because the budget, team and experience level are already fixed for the role. I know people with 15 yrs experience in L5 level in Non Tech role. So I wouldn't say never keep calm, your ask could be negotiable and non negotiable based on how badly you want this job. So ask and never regret later. If your goal is to get this job, then don't worry they will give you the best even with L5. Moreover per my understanding levels doesn't matter in NonTech roles.
