Good work from home policy. But the company is being managed into a wall by UK managers who don‘t Understand the Irish market. No real recognition or support for permanent staff who are treated as a cost burden. Very reluctant to recommend as an employer.

Question about remote job negotiations

I'm currently interviewing for a remote role for a company based in NY.

The thing is I'm based in a different city (southern U.S.)

My question is:

When it comes time to talk compensation, should I base the market rate for the role on my city of residence or NY?

Would it make sense to ask them directly how they determine comp for NY-bases vs. other city-based employees?

Anyone have experience with this?
