130K - 150K. At least 10K - 30K for HCOL premium
Is it better than your current role?
Very different. I’m currently a credit/bank analyst with my own portfolio of coverage at the AD level. I did my first two years at a B4 and have my CPA. So the role will be very different from what I’m doing now and probably more similar to when I was at the B4
Can I take the job if you don't want it 😁
Same!
Given you current title, is this the natural progression for you? Depending on the size of the company, I think this is in line.
It depends if it's NYC queens or San Fran. Either ways yes it isn't a lot but the companies that pay the most are on a hybrid schedule. IMO it's not worth going into the office unless you get paid 100k+ or what that amount is for your col compared to mcol. Also, the largest companies pay the most and have a better wlb culture usually. I got an offer for 88k + 12k bonus in mcol
Big time
You should be getting way more IMO. Current SFA in NJ with $110k base + 10-15k bonus.
FA1 I should have added they hired me at $72,500. I tried to leave in 8 months cause I felt underpaid and they countered with my current salary. Had no prior FP&A experience got the job through an internal transfer during Covid
For comparative purposes, I signed on for similar role in 2018 with $140k base + $30k bonus for 8 YOE at the time. It was at a private PE firm. Given that was 5 years ago and the market still being tight, I would expect you to come in around $140k+ all-in.
Yes it sounds like you are selling yoruself short. I would aim for more like 130k.
