I also just got an offer for this position at the consultant level :) congratulations. Coming from a very niche consulting firm, this sounds like a great opportunity
Thanks, and congrats to you too!
Accenture can afford to pay more than 20% of your current base. If you don’t get 15% more in base increase then it’s not worth.
I understand they have good 401K and ESPP but always get your base up when changing jobs that’s all that matters
I thought the same. My initial target was there for the base increase but it seems they're doing a title demotion and projecting a cap. I still plan to push further on base or sign on.
Rising Star
How much where you offered? That’s my group. I can offer pointers
I also am in the same interview process. They were looking at 120k plus a sign on amount. Curious to know what your offer is.
Yeah, Accenture always "downgrades" the experienced hire rank/title
Feel free to DM, this was my group at accenture
I'm at 146k at my current company and got a 20k bonus this year.
They offered 140k with a 50k sign on. Apparently their bonus ranges from 0-8% which is much lower than I'm used to.
Was told it was possible to get promoted to Manager in a year. Currently at 5.5 YOE.
Was thinking an extra 25k but I like that better
A1 planning to counter them next week. Any thoughts on this?
I tried to ask about that but didn't seem like a negotiating point. They just pointed out the different promotion periods as a possibility.
There is zero reason to take a pay cut at Accenture or any other firm . They can all easily give you 10% or more salary bump on base . Politely counter and stand firm and you will be fine
Ask for more sign on then
Wouldn't a bank or financial firm be more interested in those skills and be able to pay double?
Double ? Probably not
Update: current company countered with additional 15k. Interesting.
Meant to specify base. Because my company is better on increment and bonus there's a larger gap there. Additionally there do seem to be some ML projects on our pipeline they would consider putting me on. I'm surprised they're willing to adjust tbh.
