even though its just a call, still put on interview clothes-- might seem silly but it'll get you in the right mindset. otherwise, enjoy the conversation. be confident, but not cocky--they're interested in you--you got this!!
Relevant client examples. Make notes beforehand and have them at the ready in front of you so you reference them. If it is a technology related job print out cheat sheets on the core processes such as the lifecycle of p2p,
H2r, R2R, OTC. If you progress to in person interview take notes during the meeting. Also have a few questions ready to ask that are thoughtful and insightful to show you have done your research on the company. Also referencing a recent article posted by someone in the company is cool too.
Just rocked it 😁🤗🎉🎊🎈 The recruiter's exact words were "we think you are perfect for this role" and told me on the phone when to expect the next interview. I will say the pay is pretty bad compared to my PwC salary, but I am sooooo interested in this company and they're also prepping for an IPO so I am hopeful pay won't be an issue in the future!
have prewritten answers for questions like "please describe a time when you overcame a particularly challenging client relationship" and "why should i not hire you?"
Be positive! Say only good things about PwC. Smile even though they can't see you. Good luck!!
Take deep breaths, be yourself and be confident in what you've done. If you don't think what you've done is a direct fit with the role (and you really want it), stretch your story. Good luck!! 🤗
Nope just through the company's job portal on their website! I feel like so much of it is luck, I applied to 3 other places and haven't heard a peep
Ahhhh thanks Slalom! I did this when I was recruiting in undergrad and it helped a ton. Would have not even thought to do that this time around 🤔
definitely have notes prepared/ previous experiences you know make you a good fit for this job/etc.
since this is just the 1st round (i assume since its a call) i wouldnt bring up anything about other people being considered or salary.
You could ask about the start date and then follow up that this is your first choice out of your options (lets them know you're valuable) and that you're just trying to figure out a timeline (only do this if the interview is going well though, could rub some people the wrong way)
Prepare questions for them even if they're just a recruiter. Had a call myself with a recruiter. Did prep. Took nap. Started call. Then realized I forgot to think of good questions beforehand.
ACN2 the core processes mentioned are the bread and butter of the firm even though they are shoving strategy and digital messages down the media's throat. ACN is still making tons of cash off traditional tech stuff
How do you get a job so fast? Like how do you apply?
Applied via job portal last Monday, got email yesterday, interview set up for tomorrow
Good luck OP!!!!!
Thanks D1 and EY1! 😁
Thanks everyone!! I'm so excitedddd
Thanks for all the advice guys. I didn't want to jinx it by telling all my friends so I have mostly been getting advice from Google lol. Love this app!!!
Lots of good vibes here. Good luck OP, rock that call! ✌🏽
We'll see. She's supposed to send me more info tomorrow but either way I need to follow up and send a thank you since she's a friend's connection haha. First interview in a while I didn't have questions for it was kinda awkward.
good luck!
