Got promoted to Senior Manager six months ago. Same team, bigger scope, "interim" comp until I "settle into the role." That was $82K. I'm now running campaigns that used to belong to a director-level position — and I just found out my predecessor made $115K.
My manager calls it a "growth opportunity." I call it a $33K discount on director-level output.
Has anyone actually gotten the promised raise after proving themselves — or does the goalposts just keep moving?

These numbers are really irrelevant unless you know the agency. It would take a lot less dough to get me into w+k than say, a Translation or similar.

Recently, the CEO and my boss, the VP gave me the latitude to promote myself and "write my own" job description. I've been the Marketing Manager of this company for about 7 months. Already received 1 raise.

Much of the work in my "new" job description, I've already been doing. My currently salary is $70K. New title is Director of Communications and Systems Integration. What is a reasonable salary increase here.

Do New Business roles pay higher than traditional account roles?

I’m struggling at the moment to gauge how much I should be getting paid in my position as i feel I’m heavily underpaid for the work I do, which includes managing digital marketing operations across 12+ countries, manage the studio/creatives plus lead on any campaigns and strategies, etc. I’m also remote UK-based although my company is international.
