What things (aside from travel) help you feel inspired?

I am struggling with the job market and trying to find a job as an in-house designer. I quit my first job at a wrap place bc I wasn’t even designing—ex-boss just kept me in production.

Since I quit in Oct, I’ve had time to rebrand my portfolio and include new projects. But I’m not getting many responses to applications. Lost inspiration to do more work in the meantime and keep my skills sharp. Advice? Thanks

I’m supposedly going to get promoted to a managerial position next spring. I’ve been with the company for 3 years already. Do you get to negotiate salary when you get promoted?

Does anyone work in an area with lots of exterior environmental noise (traffic, concerts, trains, etc.) and have tips for not becoming overwhelmed and/or distracted by it? I’m finding that environmental noise has increased near my office now that tourism has picked back up in my city, and I’m struggling to block it out. I’ve tried earplugs but the noises tend to vibrate my office building so the earplugs don’t work well as an entire block.

Why do companies do this? I interviewed with a company. They loved my work and told me that I’m going to start the following week. They made me sign all of the onboarding papers and poof ghosted me! 🤦‍♀️ I feel so down right now! And I feel like I won’t be able to ever land a job!
