Initially he asked me about any data science project I did and explain it to him.. then he asked me about my fav subjects in Btech for which I said database he said no apart from that.. i said computer networks. Then he started asking me questions on computer networks.. i told him that it was 5 years ago it was my fav sub but now I don't remember..

To people living abroad (outside of the US), do you apply for jobs that specifically state they only hire US residents?

Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified? A director in another unit wants to meet me to “continue a conversation we started last year”. He is referring to the time I had asked him if there were openings on his team. That was over a year ago. I am not too happy where I am right now ( I stayed where I was). I have never done freelance work and was given the opportunity to take part in a cool project. My problem is it’s a proactive case by a brand new agency and it’s their own project, meaning there’s no client who pays for the work. Also all the questions that were asked to me were written coding questions(Write block of code) none were verbal.I could write all answers but none was 100% correct.

At last I asked the interviewer about feedback as in where was I wrong. He said at couple of places and he explained me where was I wrong.

In my current Org I was put into Linux, Unix & Cobol with just a 5-10% usage of OpenText on top of it. My grip on OpenText has been ruined since last 2.5 Yrs.
