I wanted to share something which is very strange (for me).
12 years ago I started my career with 3.16 LPA. I was very happy when I get my salary, I will treat myself by eating in a good restaurant after getting salary. And buy some new clothes around 1.5k,
Now I am earning 42 LPA. But I am not as excited as I was earlier. I never thought I would earn this much in my life. But for some reason it's not exciting anymore. I know without this money my family will struggle. But !!!

Business Analyst (Internal Hire) working in freight technology knowing I am incredibly underpaid.

I’m in my 2nd month as an internal hire (formerly a Pricing Analyst). I did negotiate for a higher salary when I made the transition receiving nothing but the promise of a conversation to reevaluate in three months.

I’ve been able to hit the ground running, picking up the slack, and have delivered tickets as if I was already a Business Analyst.

Hello all, I work for a small consumer goods company as Ecommerce Director. I’m pretty much the only one managing our Ecomm store, no direct reports but manage a marketing and Amazon 3rd party agencies for the brand. I’ve been with company almost 2 years and have significantly increased sales. Do you say “remuneration” in place of Compensation or in place of Total Rewards? For some reason I thought it was more related to TR and both Comp and Remuneration were used globally.

Is it more impressive to make manager in 2.5 years at the same firm or move to a different big 4. Im S1, got an offer from another big 4 to be a manager but my firm (also a big 4) wants to make me a manager and match the salary immediately. Assuming the work would be similar, what would look better on my resume? Goal is to make director as quickly as possible and go in-house.

Just got offered a job at a small biotech in London (UK). ~£45k plus bonus but only 1YR FTC and no equity.

Pretty sure it's a discovery role too.

I just finished my PhD at a very good uni with 3 years technician experience before that. BSc and MSc also at very good unis with good grades.

I think this offer is well below par, but curious to hear what you guys think/if you have any comparisons?

I have 1.5 YOE in MC and was recently contacted about an opportunity for a data analyst role in private equity. I’m pretty clueless about the space, but comp is an 85% pay raise and the work generally sounds interesting. Has anyone exited to a similar role? What’s career growth like? Saw an article about the chilling effect that the Big Law salary raises are having on in house hiring since associates cannot bear to take the pay cut. Do we believe this? Of course if an in house role offers less than a first year salary it’s a tough pill to swallow, but what if the role offers in the mid-200s for a substantially better WLB? Thoughts??

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. CTS : No clarity as of now, only thing I am aware is that I’m a part of full stack community.
HCL : Some clarity on the project but less package than other two.
R-Systems and CTS are giving same CTC.

Recently I cleared 2 technical rounds and had salary discussion with HR on 26th July.
When I enquired about offer letter last week, hr replied in mail that "Since your education under blacklist with cognizant, we are unable to process with your offer. Many of college alumni are already working with cognizant. Even mailed them what part of education is blacklisted but they are not replying.should I still expect offer letter from them?
