I’m a US citizen and my partner is in india. We want to apply for a fiancé visa. Heard it’s better and processes faster than brining over a spouse. Curious how long it takes to process? Your experience and any recommendations for immigration lawyer to help file in the NJ area would be appreciated. TIA!

Has anyone had experience travelling to the US from the Schengen area, while on OPT. I understand that students on an F1 visa are allowed to re-enter, but It’s unclear what happens for students on OPT (not in college anymore)

I’m a non-TX immigration attorney mentoring a UT student who went to my undergrad. He’s done incredibly well in OCI and pre-OCI. I had to leave the US before my lease ended due to visa reasons and subleased the apartment. I will be returning to the US on L1A shortly after the sublease ends (but before the term of the lease expires), could that jeopardize my return on L1A?

Other than citizenship, are there any other benefits of having a baby in the US vs in India? My wife and I may not be settling in the US, depending on what we decide over time. Need advice. Currently at $142k base. 3 years and 1 month left before I max out of H1b. Just got my PWD issued through current employer though their immediate reaction is subtly letting me know they’re not in a hurry to start recruitment. Got an offer today for $160k base. Similar role, both are good teams, etc. Do I politely decline and see my GC process through or accept and get more money? Feel like current employer will drag their feet as long as they can for retention purposes.
