It's already too hot where I am and the extreme heat is probably still a month away. It's odd how you kind of forget just how unpleasant it is to walk out into the heat. And then those first really hot days hit and it all comes back.

Four words I swore I would NEVER say are, "It's too bloody hot".
I grew up in the tropics. And spent the rest of my youth (and my 20s and half my 30s) in the snow belt, with humid summers and FREEZING winters.
I love the hot weather and low humidity. But, as I get older, love has involved into more of an infatuation. I've still not said those four words, but there are days I come close, anymore.
100°F? Yep, summer has entered the chat. I’m in the Midwest, and we’ve hit that annoying “AC in the day, blanket at night” zone. What’s your power move when the temps soar: iced coffee, pool, or full blackout shades?

IF my windows opened, I wouldn't even need a/c yet.
I drink iced/frozen coffee, even in winter. Evidently, I like my coffee like I like my women: cold and bitter ;)
The secret is stay hydrated, especially with the low humidity. Dehydration can really sneak up on you.
I'm in DFW and I feel the summer creeping up FAST. Weirdly though we haven't hit our 100 degree days yet. Hopefully we only get a few this year. It was in the high 90s today and I was DYING.

Spent a few years in DFW, and although higher humidity than I had seen in the previous decade, it was still relatively OK. Now, the College Station area was bad. I was there for two summers, and both years, we had an entire month where the high temperature was over 100f, and the worst I saw was about 112f. But the humidity is higher than DFW, too
I'm in South Florida and it is AWFUL. Just like every other summer. Temps have been in the 90s a lot during the past few weeks, and the humidity feels like it's 90%. Throw in our seasonal rainstorms and all the mosquitoes they bring and I've got no reason or desire to go outside right now. I'll be living in the AC until September.
In my area, we get a 3 for 1 deal. Smothering humidity in the morning, a afternoon downpour, and a pleasant evening with not a single cloud in the sky. I'm just waiting for the tornadoes to come to town! 😂
