Hi - I have donations given to Team Everest for Nov 2021 with receipt. But IBM AskHR says no support for donations tax exemption on Form 16. Thus, the donation isn't deducted on my Form 16. Can I now update the donation directly on E-filing.gov u/s 80G for exemption or will that cause an issue ? IBM

We implemented Surest for this year. It's a Co-Payment plan with no deductible and co-insurance. It has an Out of Pocket Max. So far it's been good. The first month was rough because our implementation partner at UHC wasn't as detailed as they could have been. It should have cost savings for employees and employers overall.
Limited network and providers option. I think they show you avg cost to visit certain doctor in their network. My guess would be doctors in their network accept a price ceiling so not many doctors in better “institution” will accept this plan. With co-pay the insurance cost is set and there’s no absorption cost like traditional deductible plan if you paid your full deductible already anything beyond deductible would start to ease into the insurance company profitability.
Heard about it my I was never offered. I am actually looking into it the 3 days ago because my college friend was asking me about health plans and she came to mention that one.
From what we were guaranteed by UHC:
Studies found the Surest health plan — a copay-driven plan that allows members to see the full cost of care before they seek care — led to lower claim costs exceeding $400 per member per year. Plus, improved spend and utilization were observed in all age groups, over multiple years and across various conditions.
I've used it for 5 years. It's great, I can see where in my general location doctors in network are and how much my visit would cost. It's kind of apalling that to visit certain clinics they charge $100/visit but I can drive an extra 20 minutes and pay $20. Gives you some inside views into the belly of the beast that is health insurance and helps you decide where you want to go and what it's going to cost you before you go. I've never had a bill be more than the cost they estimated.
