Nobody really talks about this but I feel this right now. I've been at the same company for 16 years and I've had recruiters make backhanded comments about how I'm probably stuck in my ways or whatever. Apparently I was a bit too optimistic to think that everybody would assume I'm just loyal and dependable!
I haven’t and move around every 2-3 years. How long have you been there? I would think moving to another institution at a hirer position would be easy.
No, the longest I've stayed has been 3 years. Most times because I've moved on voluntarily, once because of layoffs. It's always easier to make more money jobhopping than sticking around, so I'll keep doing it until that reality changes.
