After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

I've never been caught lying because I don't lie. I'm pretty positive the major background check agencies call to verify dates of attendance and diploma. You might be able to get away with it at some places, but it would also probably get you blacklisted from others.

It may look bad if you have bad school results but excelled with accounting qualifications. I personally haven’t but I can understand why some people would
Yes. Any company that does a background check can determine if you are lying about your education.

I know that they can check I was just wondering if they actually go to the effort to check! It must be quite a difficult procedure to find out results from years ago
I wouldn’t lie. That’s just me.

Oh no, me neither! Not worth it at all
It is really easy for companies to check on education. All HR has to do is go to the college or university website, The registrar's office will have an online form they can use to get confirmation of attendance, graduation date, degree, and major. (I don't know if companies care about GPA or courses.)

I wonder if that’s the same in England, as that’s where I am! It probably is the same!
This was in Canada: My company once had a candidate that was given an offer by my sister team and I only found out through the company announcement email. Then I heard the offer was retracted, because the candidate claimed to be a CPA, but was a CPA student only. Someone apparently checked against the CPA body website to check after the offer was accepted. Candidate insisted that it wasn't a full lie since they recently found out they passed the final exam (CFE) and was just short hours and etc. Threatened to sue and all that. Funny thing is, I knew the person from university, and yep, they were a pathological liar in university too. Glad the offer was pulled. I would have hated having them as a coworker even in a different team within finance.

Oh wow! See that’s why it’s so important to do those checks! To be fair, checking to see if someone is qualified is totally valid. I meant with my post more things like Secondary school results etc. not sure if anyone even puts those results on their CV!
Yes everyone checks that.

I’ve never known any company to! Maybe it’s just a UK thing that nobody checks?!
I know so many people that lied on their CV and just got away with it

Nope, I have a very hardcore guilt trip conscience. Even the slightest speck of dishonesty has me sweating for days.

Ahah, that’s a really great way to be though! Better to be an honest person
