They paired me with someone I didn't think would be a good match (not in my industry). Turned out she was perfect. She had me pull my acceptance of an offer I had made a week prior and ended up getting me an offer for almost 3 times more money.
Now I'm making 6 figures and blame it exclusively on my ACP mentor.
They tried pairing me with 2 goofballs. I refused them both. I went on their website and found 7 or 8 mentors I'd be cool with. They were able to connect me with one and it's been incredible. Don't settle! You have to realize the people working there are not too tier and that's ok
Veterati is pretty good
at first they tried to pair me with someone unrelated to the field I wanted to go into and I denied the connection and the second pick ended up being an incredible mentor and still a close friend. I’ve done the mentoring side now and had a few good matches. Definitely be an advocate for yourself in the process to ensure you get the right fit.
Had a great experience with ACP. Paired me with a top exec in an industry I was interested in.
Industry I'm interested in getting into some are scared to assist. Plus any real sources are in the underground or don't exist in my area.
What industry? Spying?
I have a TBI and am interested to learn more about ACP. Please enlighten me
This is the first time I'm hearing of this program. I wish I knew about it. Now I'm medically retired at 50, blind, and stuck below at salary of 57k unless I dropped my retirement (I'm physically not capable of doing that now that I'm handicapped with two cracks in my spine, and a list if medical issued).
