But my mom had a major health issue and I'm planning to travel back to India to support her as I'm a single child. I'm working in one of the top organisation in Germany with a base of 90k euro and looking for good opportunities in India. Once i was pregnant I did not apply for a new job until the baby was out. Maternity leave and FMLA usually requires continuous employment with the employer for at least 12 months (in my case) so even if I get a new job, I wont qualify for leave.
I've not. But we recently hired a boomerang when she was 7 months pregnant. She was a great fit for the opening. She started, went on leave (fully paid....our benefits are day 1), came back, and it was 100% worth it. I'm sure that's not standard, but it can happen.
I’m really sorry you’re currently not happy at your role, but if you’re at PWC right now I would hold out until baby is here. Assuming you guys get pretty great leave.
