Really wasn’t end of the world. LMR takes most of the heat for that. There’s multiple layers of teams and client approvals before it hits them as last line of defense. Might be some finger pointing, but it’s shared blame end of the day, and sometimes subjectively determined depending on what you got the letter for. You fix it, update what you need to and any cascade impact, and move on. Anticipate some more conservative reviews moving forward, especially in LMR. Probably some juiced up fair balance which is annoying. But once you get over the hurdle it’s usually someone just takes as word of caution.
I work across a portfolio of brands for one client that received several letters. As you mentioned, these aren't new rules, just new (and stricter) "interpretations" of the rules. No heat on us, especially because we quickly turned around and relaunched all the creative after addressing the content of the letters.
