Why Bain over the other 2?
Bain & Company I received an offer to join Bain & Company for SF office but due to family reasons, I will have to stay in the South Bay. Given Bain’s local staffing model, it will be challenging for me to commute to SF and back. Is it possible to be transferred to the palo alto office/is that office fully functioning or does it mainly serve as a hub for partners and research?

I did, all in Jan two years ago. Just like campus recruiting but harder for the interviewer because you have to balance your full time job when preparing.
Bcg’s recruiters were on top of their game and really nice. Also had many people socialize with you in the lobby, very good vibes. The mck recruiters were messy. But the partner in the Mck office took the time to chat over phone through feedback post rejection. The other firms gave feedback via recruiter. Bain interviews were big on culture fit and always asked about my current firm’s culture - kind of got the feeling that they had a “campus hire vs experienced hire” vibe.

BCG - Recruiters were really nice, interviews were as expected, and had the most people reach out after getting the offer l
Bain - Recruiters weren’t too flexible with timing which I found frustrating with a full time job, very quant heavy cases but everything else was straightforward
Ended up picking McK mainly due to impact potential and comp
