Has anyone left public to become an indirect tax compliance analyst in industry? Or left for any job in industry? How was the adjustment and the experience like? Did you or would you return to public?

Should I specialize in Blockchain or AI? I’m a freshman in a CS degree and I can’t decide. My main argument to choose blockchain is the easy entry with little experience and high salary, I plan on growing my skills during the bear market and get a job once the market recovers. Regarding AI, I find this field fascinating but I feel like it requires a lot of experience, degrees and diplomas.

Which one will be good for Testing profile ( Career growth, job security, Appraisal, salary hike, New Skill).

I got married in 2021. Before my wedding I lived in State#1 and after the wedding I moved to State#2. My spouse lived in State#2 the entire year.
Can I file as Married Jointly in such a way that State#1 only calculates my income for the portion of the year I lived there?
Or do I need to file Married Seperately?

My 2022 w-2 has states tax paid in California. But I was living in Illinois. I have paid more taxes per my w2. Do I need to file state tax for both IL and CA?
