Mck final round is 3 cases so pwc1 is either BSing or in for a rude awakening
McK1 - that’s wrong. I have gone through the process myself twice so I can bet you on that. The roles I am referring are Expert EM roles - so process is slightly different than the traditional experienced MBA hires.
McK Digital Practice does not do typical case interviews at all - though their 3/4 rounds are based on Technology strategy situation relevant to candidates Expert area.
McK Ops Consulting Practice does only one case interview which is the very first level and that case is a pure traditional type case. Once that case is cleared - rest of the rounds of based on the experience of the candidate and their specific job need.

I know a couple of Associates in my office who came from Big 4s.
BCG1 - do you know which competency or practice?
I am very familiar with this and about 9 of my friends have moved. 2 to BCG (Technology Advantage Practice consists of Technology and Digital), 2
To BCG Platinion (Tech Implementation arm of BCG) and 5 to McK Digital Practice. Bain do not hire non MBAs.
PS - I am currently being interviewed for 1 role at McK Ops, 1 role at McK Digital, 1 Role with BCG Platinion and 1 role with BCG TA group. All cases rounds cleared and waiting for final round with each of these roles.
Soft interviewed (fitment) with Bain - On Hold like role rejection ...
I am very informative into MBB practices.
The ones I know of are generalists. As far as I know, we do not hire for a specific practice at the most junior roles
P1, difference between BCG TA and Platinion in terms of interview please
TA / Experienced Technology Generalist it starts with the Lead Hiring Partner - if he selects - then couple of tech strategy case interviews. That has been the process for me.
BCG Platinion OR Expert Track (both are more into SME or Implementation support to The above TA group) - starts with a Phone Screen - then deep dive - then final face to face with same/diff folks and offer. Have been offered in the past but declined.
Pwc1 can you shoot me a mail at fibo234387@gmail.com and we can take this offline
@BCG1 I would ultimately like to end up in strategy generalist role if possible away from technology, but if I need to get my foot through the door by going the tech consulting route I am open to that as well. My past experience 5 years and grad school degree was geared towards quantitative problem solving ( data consumption and insight generation)
Yes PWC 1, you definitely know more about McK than I do. Totally.
PwC1, can you share some guidance on preparing for cases with BCG Platinion? I’m coming from a non traditional background and have cleared the initial recruiter call and phone screen. Will be setting up Round 1 soon.
What's Tech Strategy case interviews please? Could you help?
Q. I do nCino/SFDC work. Do MBB hire for those?
Mck ops consulting practice also has second round case interviews. I had three interviews with three partners. First two partners did case and experience, third partner only focused on experience.
