Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??

Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?

It’s always such a pleasure getting ghosted by recruiters after sending in my site and resume. I must really suck.
I did and it was very helpful. I feel like he narrowed the field for me and helped me make the right connections. Worth trying to see if it helps.
I've had mixed experiences. Recruiters get your resume in front of hiring managers who might not otherwise see it. It's just that some recruiters are more interested in filling their own quotas than in finding the right candidate for the job. You gotta find the right one. Research them well.

If you are going to use a recruiter. Use more than one recruiter.
Recruiters are like a box of chocolates. But finding a good one who's professional, knows the business and is well-connected can make a world of difference in your search.
I've only ever gotten one job through a 3rd party recruiter. And they were specifically hired to fill that role. Otherwise, I got jobs through normal applications. I'd reach out to in-house recruiters if you can get their info. Most independent recruiters seem to be flaky ghosters or bearers of false hope.
