Go for McK and don’t look back.
Even if it were a new grad role I'd take McK. 1 year of tenure credit is nothing, esp in the grand scheme of your career.

Nope.
McKinsey offers a 3-year path to EM (manager) to its BAs. For you, that could potentially be 2-2.5 years. How long would it take to make EM at OW?

1.5 years, in the context of your career is nothing. Hell, i was unemployed that long in the Great Recession. Just make sure you do everything to go “up” instead of “out”
How many yoe op? If it's same comp, I'd take mck - higher earning potential in the long run, better brand, etc. I've heard mck as a shorter path to EM. If you're sticking around long term it won't matter

Take McK.
Consensus seems to be McKinsey. Thanks everyone!
No brainer really - just go for it and don’t even think about it
Congrats on both!
I'm at OW. Go to McK. Better brand & salary.
What was the comp offer from McK at the exp BA level?
Subject Expert
Should be 110 or 120k base iirc, not sure about bonus
Would the answer be the same if it was Bain/BCG entry level vs. OW SC?
Curious as well, especially BCG vs OW
What do you mean by experienced BA? Are they offering you a Senior BA or just a BA title. Senior BAs could push for Associate which = Senior Cons in a year
McK 2 - how long does it typically take for experienced BAs to be be promoted to EM?
Hi OP, just a quick question. What geography are you in? I was under the impression that if you are under 2 YOE you will be asked to start as a grad. Just to confirm you are at 1.5 years?
US, yes 1.5 YOE out of undergrad
Where are you working currently OP?
