I am a graduating student who just got offered 65k for a solution analyst role at Deloitte USDC (Data Engineering Focus). From reading previous posts it seems to be a lot of negative thoughts surrounding the USDC, but straight out of college is this a good opportunity?
I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible out of college in an IT role and wondering what exit opportunities may be in place a year or two down the road if there is little/slow progression.

Hey, I have 4 YOE and currently a manager at PwC and have been managing teams for a little over a year now. My role mainly consists of leading teams of engineers deliver MVPs to our clients.
If I wanted to exit to Google or Facebook (Meta) what role would align for me? I was looking at engineering manager roles but unsure if that’s too senior for me.

Need help deciding if this offer is worth moving for. Received an offer from Booz Allen Hamilton for an Associate level Sr. Systems Engineer in Los Angeles for $135k base. I countered $150k and a $15k singing bonus and asked if I could be brought on as a lead associate since I've been a lead/manager for a while in my current company.
Current company TC: $125k in Utah.
YOE: 7 with M.S. and MBA

Why would you ever wanna leave the D?

I'm an M1 at EY and just accepted an offer to leave for a boutique
2nd year M at Deloitte and EY offered 120k. Laughable. I never called them back.
Don’t waste your time
@D1 why would he not leave?? $$$
@D3 - EY pays way lower than deloitte.
Don't want to leave, want an outside offer to leverage in internal comp conversations. Trying to figure out if it is worth going through the process or not with EY. 120k for a 2nd year M sounds rather like a strong no. Was looking for 150 k+ to make it worth the conversation
NEVER try to leverage an external offer for a compensation discussion. It’s manipulative. Think of it like dating - are you going to win your 2nd date by talking about how everyone else thinks you’re great or are you going to win me over by simply being great, better than expected?
Do great work, build a solid reputation, and the money will follow. If it’s not happening fast enough, gather evidence - client/peer feedback, sales numbers, internal contributions...anything that demonstrates value above and beyond what is expected of you. Then make your case that you are underpaid.

Don't you have to wait 3, if not 4 years for promotion to m?...
OP is in cyber security that’s why he wants to leave lmao
@ D, run away, abort!! Don't do it
@M1, congrats. Best decision ever. Wish you the best of luck
@D4, promo after 1 or 2 years is doable.
Agree with M1
Just got promoted to M1 & almost at 160... but maybe MBA hires & external hires are diff? In Amy case, it certainly is possible to earn more
