Have an opportunity to join a non-profit on the board of directors. Would be my first board role. No compensation, fully remote, 15-20 hours a year, barring any unusual emergencies with the nonprofit. What do we think? I’m a young attorney under 30 years old. Dream is to eventually sit on pubco and private boards in compensated roles.

Hi. I am desperate to change jobs. I have two offer in hands: Deloitte Hyderbad on a contract basis with 15% hike and KPMG Bangalore FTE with 25% hike. I like Deloitte as a brand better.
None of of these two companies are willing to offer more saying that they have a tight budget.

Does anyone know how litigation finance works on the plaintiff side? If someone wanted to bring a lawsuit against their former employer would a general contingency arrangement with a plaintiff’s firm make sense? Or would one need to find funding and then contact a plaintiff’s firm to actually handle the case? I’m a transactional lawyer, so this is out of my wheelhouse.
