Neither do I. But the firm still has policies that you agree to by working at the firm. In any case, unless you're okay with the possibility of the firm claiming your earnings from your side gig are theirs, I'd check with your firm that you're in the clear.
It’s a lot more time consuming than you think. Doing it while working full time as a lawyer will likely burn you up.
I don’t know if you need to get into one of the big powerhouse recruiting firms but definitely agree having experience before you start your own place is a must.
I’m just agreeing on the point that I think it’s going to be difficult to do recruiting part-time and make it work unless you can do most of your law firm job at night. If you need income, why not look for a recruiting firm that will give you a draw until you have money coming in?
I practice pi. I’m fully remote and have control over my hours. So my work day is very flexible. I’ve had some recruiting experience in the past, which is why I’m thinking of starting my own agency. I just want to make sure that working in two careers involving legal services won’t expose me to some sort of ethics violations.
