No, things like that don't bother me, and it usually goes pretty smoothly. I guess the best piece of advice is to just get to the point and don't waste anyone's time, as a lot of people are always pressed for time. And stay in your lane, don't get sidetracked.
Doctors are extremely busy; they are constantly moving. Their time are valuable. When they are not seeing patients, they are doing their notes and possible, moonlighting. However, the best approach is to ask, how can you assist them with their daily busy schedules, such as, finding out how can you be of assistance to them, what type of help can you offer and that may open the door for strategies conversations. Also, as an administrator, have huddle meetings with the providers, see what their needs are and see the best possible ways to assist and assign clerical staff to assist the providers.
