I’m only 11 months away from retirement and was laid off in July. If I didn’t need the income, there’s no way I’d be looking for a job now….even as a claims adjuster. Learning a new company’s processes, claims philosophy and different computer systems just isn’t anything I’m looking forward to. That’s my 2 cents worth!
Good luck to you. My husband wants us to retire soon but we would definitely have to change our lifestyle if we did that. Two more years and we'll be fine.
I'm always looking to learn more. I would so do it
I also enjoy learning, but I'm doing more of that outside of work in preparation for retirement.
I’m only a few years away from retirement myself, but I’m in the middle of a new certification and I just completed my masters a little over a year ago. If you’re not learning something new, just stick a fork in you, because if you’re not learning you’re dying.
Even during retirement, you should be learning something new whether that’s how to grow flowers in your area for your backyard or how to re-tile the bathroom.
