I am job hunting. Have 20 years experience in IT. Now I am totally confused about interview been taken. Almost all interviewer expects and asks internals of respective technologies in my case Java and frameworks. And very rare about solution been design, or not even design questions.

I am into software architect role from nearly 6 years. Rarely hands on.
Also one more observation is some interviews are not inline with job description.

My YOE is 5.5 and I got offer from capgimini of 14 lpa and the joining date is 19 sept..they are ready to give me 17 lpa if i join early on 5 sept...should i early join or wait for other interviews as currently having only one offer letter.

Is offer amount justified as per my exp ? And what about the growth factor and work life balance in capgimini..

We’re starting to interview for my copywriter partner this week, but I don’t have any creative leadership above me (I’m also the only creative with agency experience at the company) so I’m nervous about being the only one looking at prospective partners.

Industry vets - in your experience how recession proof is insurance? I was not yet in the job market last recession but I watched my mom get laid off and struggle to find employment during that time for the next 1.5 years. Made a career pivot to another agency. During the interview we talked about how it may start as initially a "step backwards" (pay/benefits) but has potential for more long term growth. Curious as to how many deals at once is typical for a first year associate to take on (M&A, mostly private equity clients). Deal size is lower middle market and I’ve worked on deals ranging from $1-$110M. 2 deals at once is plenty for me, but it seems like my peers are able to take on more than that at once and still do fine. Maybe I’m just a slow learner/out of my league at the big law firm I’m at.

After my HR round today, Hr called up and said that will move forward with the offer but approvals with higher management might take some time as there is a hiring freeze.
Do you think offer will be released? And how much time these approvals take ?

She mentioned at the end that they are definitely going to offer as all feedbacks are positive.
But it all depends on the approvals.
