I’m currently interviewing with a few top 10 firms and a couple top 100 firms for a mostly remote experienced associate/new senior role. Does anyone have any tips on virtual interviews and how to gauge the culture of the firm and if it really will be a good fit for you? Hey All, looking for suggestions on other job titles/industries for a mechanical engineer to apply to. Currently in the automotive sector in Michigan and ready for a change.
Willing to go remote, otherwise the job needs to remain in Michigan. Mechanical is so broad, I'm having a hard time finding unrelated engineering jobs to automotive! I'd even be happy to move outside of the engineering role, using my technical expertise for something else! Any recommendations?

When asked, I gave the absolute minimum I would be willing to accept (my current salary) since I have no experience in the area. The company came back and offered an interview for a different role, much closer to the job I currently do. I feel weak. I’m not (work out 3-5 days/week, strength and cardio mix, eat relatively healthy with protein, veggies, and 1 glass of water almost every meal) but I feel like my body hurts more than usual. Wfh for almost 2 years certainly hasn’t helped and with the omicron variant, I’m finding myself inside more than I have been the past 4-5 months. I’m basically going from sitting all day to working out then back to sitting. How do you stay “strong”?

I interviewed for a position remotely 3 weeks ago with the 3 partners of an agency at the same time, and it went well. The CFO then took 30 minutes after the initial hour to talk more and she asked that I reach out to her for more questions as well as to let her know when I have relocated as I told them that I am about to move.

After 3 weeks, I sent a follow-up note to the HR contact and no response all last week.

Shall I try contacting the CFO directly since she did ask that I do? Thoughts?
