Hi Fishes, I am bit confused to pick the role in KPMG lighthouse as Sr Cloud Data architect or Saama technology as a Project lead. Money wise it is not a big difference. In KPMG I will work with partner where as in saama I will work with project/program manager. Please suggest your opinion. Saama KPMG KPMG India

I have close friends at both - I’d say to go where you want. You’ll find your people at either place!
The Sloan community isn’t nerdy or lacking soft skills - that’s an undergrad stereotype (and I’d actually argue that I’ve heard the same about Booth, again likely due to the undergrad influence). Curriculums around core classes and leadership are largely comparable - it’s the electives that differ more between the two schools. I also know Booth has more freedom to pick and choose classes whereas Sloan is relatively a bit more standardized.
For consulting and banking, your access and outcomes will be comparable.
Not sure if that helps much. I guess my take is to go where you want to but don’t let reputations and stereotypes get in the way of the decision. That $60K is a good chunk of change, and lots of Boothies end up scattered across the US, so I think given your target career and geographies, Booth is a fine call. If your heart is calling for Sloan and Boston, and just the stereotypes are getting in the way, then go there.

For me personally, this would be Booth without a second thought, especially with the money. I think you’re probably also overthinking the Chicago network aspect. The Booth network is massive, and those connections are probably gonna be a lot deeper than the undergrad connections (personal opinion). Also, slight preference for Booth if you are actually seriously considering banking. No dig at Sloan at all - it’s fantastic. Don’t underrotate on fit either - which students have you felt yourself more naturally gravitating toward?
Take the 60 k at Booth. That covers living expenses for 2 years

I think Sloan because you already have access to Chicago’s network.
If you were pursuing tech, I would say Sloan. But honestly for consulting, both schools are great. Use 60 k to party hard in Chicago
Based on what you said you want to do (consulting and ibanking) I would say booth. Booth is known for finance Sloan is tech and engineering. They are equal in consulting
