Hello all, So i interviewed for amazon 2 months ago for the Associate IT support II position and I passed the interview but i was inclined meaning someone else got the position for the location. Amazon said they will keep my resume for 6 months and if there is another location open with the same position, I should apply and I would not need to Interview anymore. well several positions have been open and i have applied and also contacted the that recruiter but no reply. I Need Help @Amazon

I want to quit but I'm not sure what kind of role I want to look into. Would appreciate any advice! The only thing I know is that I don't want to work overtime anymore. I'm a new senior and my main client gave me some good hedge fund auditing experience. I don't like controls or reading into guidances. I'm also not very good with dealing with politics in the office or too much socializing. I liked hedge funds but afraid it'll be very busy as well and lots of politics. Thx in advance for replies!

Finishing up my first year of big law, thinking of starting my own practice while I work at my current position. Thinking that in a few months, I’ll concretely work solely for my own practice full-time. How difficult is it to gain clients (mainly PI and civil lit)? My mentor also offered me to be an off counsel while I’m working at my current job so that I can refer cases for a cut, would there be an ethical issue? FYI my firm does unrelated law to PI and doesn’t forbid doing extra work.

I put them through a trial month (no base + commission only) and they do not close a single deal, Even though the commission structure is amazing and I’m incentivizing them through the roof. New firm is offering a full bonus for pro-rated hours, which is nice but I doubt I’ll hit hours due to HR/admin onboarding work, ramp up, coming on in the middle of deals, etc. Any chance I can negotiate for a guaranteed bonus regardless of hours or is that unreasonable? Hi, just wondering how the staffing situation has been in strategy consulting in general? My sibling started a job in strategy in Silicon Valley 2 months ago after MBA. She has been on the bench for 2 months and was informed that there has been a shortage of jobs (within the job) and the amount of people on the bench is getting high. She has been under a lot of stress although she had many great networking calls with people. I wanted to help but can't identify what she can improve on.

What would be a fair compensation for a L5 engineer role at Amazon Berlin? They asked me for a number before making the official offer and I'm not sure what to ask for. I have around 5 years of experience if that makes any difference.

I applied and got a position for aws . I got an offer and asked some questions. I didn't get a reply, from multiple individuals. Two weeks later received a phone call that my recruiter was let go and I was in limbo essentially, they said they'd get in touch with me closer to the timeline we discussed and they were sorry about the mixup. I called back the person to get more information (since I was running errands) and nothing again. No response and no other way to contact this person. Ideas?
