I recently completed my masters in design from Srishti Manipal. I have been applying for jobs as a UI/UX designer. Although I want to be a research, I find not many companies asking for researchers just out from college. Any idea about how the industry thinks here?
Also, at this point should I narrow down on a specific industry or get into anywhere?

@Capco what’s the comms/content space like? I’ve heard lots of mixed reviews re: consultancy jobs, but that’s not my focus. I ask as I’m looking into a potential position at Capco, but concerned I could be leaving a more “secure” company (BofA) for a raise at another org. that has a lot of room for improvement.

I’m honestly tired of being at an agency and not feeling as fulfilled as I used with strategy as a career. I currently work at a medium sized firm and have about two years experience in personal injury litigation. The billable hours and lack of work life balance are really getting to me and I am looking to switch to something else out of litigation, preferably in house. I am also looking to relocate to a different state. How do I go about properly marketing myself to companies that might not take my relocation and minimal experience seriously?

It’s a very specific niche within MedTech. I’m a bit hesitant to invest time + money in law school just to end up writing 510(k)s like I am now without a JD.

I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. However, now I got an email from the hiring manager that hiring for my role has been paused due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. He expects to resume the hiring for the role in Q1 '23 and would resume the process then. So is it the end? Honestly, I don't expect him to come back. But what do you think?

PS: This was my first interview in the switching process so I’m not sure if I could have landed better offers or if this is the best I could get.
