As a result of #metoo, it was revealed that now a lot of male supervisors and councillors are refusing to train/guide their female juniors. Most of them don't want the hassle of being accused of sexual harassment.

Has anyone interviewed with Amazon in the last 6 months. I finished my loop for a finance role. It’s been 8 business days and no update from the recruiter. I mailed the recruiter who said apologies for the delay but we will get back to you with next steps. Has anyone had this experience and what was the outcome Amazon
Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

I won't be able to name any, but this has happened to my friend recently, and she is quite frustrated over it. Thanks for sharing this.
It happened to me as well, I gave a tough interview only to realize all the tests weren't related to the work i was doing
Facing the sane issue.
I’ve got enough freedom to ideate but I dont have access to users- so usability testing and user research is gone for a toss.
Even I am facing the same issue. Clients don't understand the importance of research. They just want the job done ASAP with good interface. Lol. I believe this is the reason that so many designs fails.
Every company treats a UI/UX Designer as UI Designer or HTML Developer, very few companies appreciate the knowledge or expertise, i was hired as UI/UX Designer and end up working as a HTML Developer
Designation - Sr UX Designer
Work given- UI design on wireframe already made by Product manager .
What I actually do - Question everything , do analysis on provided research doc , comes with 4x substitutes with easier flow.
50-60% of new ideas are considered based on time feasibility.
Could live an easy life but UX designer in me wont permit being just a UI designer
Hi👋,
I am a product designer with 3 years of experience, located in Mumbai. And have faced this issue.
Same experience. No focus on research. Make some flashy design, if client is happy no one else bothers
Yes definitely faced the same. Initially when I was interviewed I was given the impression UX was a big part of the process but only after getting involved in various projects I realised they expected quick designs based on assumptions made by managers rather than actual data from research. I mostly decided to do my own research and vet the decisions made and fight back with actual research based data and user feedback thanks to help from customer support guys. They knew more about the problems users faced than most managers themselves and helped me get in touch with users too. I would suggest always dig deep and at the end of the day you will be very happy with the results.
