Hello, does anyone have experience with the background check process at Amex? I’m feeling anxious and wondering how long it usually takes. My previous title was Credit Risk Analyst Officer, but on my CV and HireRight I shortened it to Credit Risk Officer because the original title was quite long. I’m worried this may be seen as a discrepancy and affect my offer. I completed the HireRight forms on Monday and have already been asked to resign. Any similar experiences or advice?

The HR says the delay is happening because the people who need to approve are on leave. Are they playing around or keeping on hold? Do they actually release offer after this much delay? My wife works at a school with kids with behavioral issues. The kids are abusive to the teachers/paras and have hit, kicked, pulled hair, as well as have grabbed the privates of teachers/paras. Nothing is ever done about it by higher up. Recently, the principal got kicked in the leg, and it turns out that the superintendent is “pressing charges” against the kid, but won’t do anything for the teachers/paras.
