Company 1 - series c funded, good growth opportunities || 13 LPA || reimbursements (up to 1000) , WFH after 6 months, bi-annual appraisals (20-30%) || I have already joined this company working for 20 days
Company 2 - already established startup, hiring for a new product line, replacement hiring, growth opportunity || 16LPA || reimbursements (upto 25K) || no wfh ever.

What's the best way to gain visibility by those holding 3-4 positions higher than you? I like learning from them and growing mentorships but can't break the AE-level wall with my responsibilities. Being remote also makes it harder to interact.

I'm on the client/business side but would love to hear anyone's thoughts.

How do you count years of experience? Lets say you were a web master for 5 years. Then you transitioned into a proper UX role and did that for 5 years. Is that 10 years of experience or 5?

My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?

I have an offer to join a startup as an APM. The only downside is that the engineering team is located offshore in India. I’m concerned about the resulting impact because of 1) the potential late night calls 2) the learning opportunities missed by not working with a US engineering team (communication tactics, translatable skills) 3) potential exit opps into FAANG pm roles due to not having experience with an onshore eng team.
