I met someone and their son is a director at Morgan Stanley. He told me to give him a call and potential have a talk about working there . How are Morgan Stanley advisors compensated. I ask because I left another firm and they have tried to charge me charge backs on commissions that have come back.

$135k base and 20% target bonus.

65k salary + 10% annual target bonus + 25% of first year fees for new business brought in (uncapped) TC 2022 projected ~$85k
Sitting for CFP in November, they’re covering education & exam expenses!
110 base with 30% target bonus and another typically 4-6% profit sharing
CFP and about 9 years in the industry, got my CFP in 2017
150k salary no bonus. The wealth management industry is hiring like crazy right now - make a move!
$56k base, $30-60k commission.
For more detail, we aren’t prospecting advisors, and we share a percentage of the company revenue in a pool among everyone else with my title(smaller company).
TC about $170k. $65k base, the rest comp from team. Flat $20k and the rest variable based on production. I also get RSU’s from firm annually as well - roughly $5-6k and PS
Before making partner, TC was $110k-$120k:
$90k base
$10k - $20k bonus
$10k profit sharing

Planning for UHNW for firms clients - have a few of my own. CFP, CPWA, CRPC, 7, 66, insurance. 9 years experience
$320k all-in (200 base, 120 incentive comp + PS)
That’s a reason why I’m leaving… found out what our new admin with literally no finance experience was making and immediately started looking
What firm did you make the 320k with and had a base comp of 150k?
60 base, 10-20 bonus, no benefits
For my work as an AFA, I get a % of the lead advisors revenue which turns out to be about $95k. Market being down is a real b!tch! No true, formal benefits. It’s a relatively small market - not NYC or Dallas but also not rural.
That’s awesome! Feel like this is one of the better set ups I’ve seen thrown out there.
