I have 2 outstanding offers from EY and KPMG in the Finance Transformation group. Does anyone have any insight on the WLB right now, with the labor shortage and pipeline being crazy?

Also,does anyone have any insight to how difficult the transition will be from being a manager at a middle market firm into a manager at the B4? If someone else has done the transition how long did it take to get your feet under you?

Does anyone have experience working for a ALSP? How does compensation work (pay and benefits)? Are you an employee or technically an IC? Do you have billable requirements like at a firm? How do you think it prepared you to potentially move in house? I'm currently at a firm but thinking of taking a position with an ALSP but my goal is to go in house.

Need advice - I've been talking to a Partner contact at a big-4 firm where I REALLY want to work. She sent my info to the managing partner in my city, but I haven't heard anything for about 3 weeks. Been playing it cool because I know these things can take time, BUT, I just got let go from my current firm. I have til 12/15 to find a new job.

Do I tell her my timeline is now a month, or is telling them I'm getting fired going to tank my chances of getting the job?

Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified? Tried researching this for hours but only found info on applying to other agencies.

Why do the Big 4 Indian firms compete with their offshore entities and poach projects from international clients? Don't think the offshore entities try for projects from Indian clients.

MBB AP about to exit to non-FAANG tech. Would you expect a signing bonus and/or pre-determined severance pay if things don't work out with the new company? Hey guys, I’m a freelance broadcast producer and I’ve spent most of my career working for larger agencies. I’m doing something for a smaller agency and they want the production company to hide costs in their bid and then have production bill the client the inflated amount directly and pay the hidden costs to the agency. The agency is calling it a “consultation fee” but client just thinks production costs more. Is that common and I just haven’t experienced it before? Or is this a big red flag?

Whats the difference between consulting and advisory in terms of job duties, pay, wlb, etc? I have asked this question to many people in both positions, and no one is able to give an actual answer that differentiates the two.

Is there really that big of difference in recruiting between USC and UCLA MBA? I checked MBB target schools and only one recruits at USC whereas all 3 recruit from UCLA. I would have thought it would have been about the same. Thoughts from MBB/B4/Tier 2 consulting?
