Has anyone left big 4 or other PA firms tax transaction service groups for industry (or know of anyone)? What was the role and salary bump, how are annual bonuses/raises in industry, what is a typical work week (hours) like? I don’t think I can take this always on just to stay afloat life much longer. For context I am considered a high performer, am near the top of the salary band at my level and have a great supporting network at Deloitte. It’s just not worth it to have zero personal life.

KPMG better place to work than Deloitte - other way around. I realize my set up isn't clear. Another way to ask: are you happy with moving from Big A to Big B? Why?

Looking to switch to a Senior Tax Advisor consulting role at advisory firm (not B4) with no prior public or consulting experience. Have 8 years of Corporate Tax experience in industry (currently a Senior in healthcare company). New role will be mostly focused on provisions. Any ideas on what salary range should be expected?

Whats the difference between consulting and advisory in terms of job duties, pay, wlb, etc? I have asked this question to many people in both positions, and no one is able to give an actual answer that differentiates the two.

Is there really that big of difference in recruiting between USC and UCLA MBA? I checked MBB target schools and only one recruits at USC whereas all 3 recruit from UCLA. I would have thought it would have been about the same. Thoughts from MBB/B4/Tier 2 consulting?
