Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)
(sap domain)
How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!

That’s an awful long time. There’s a lot of tips on Fishbowl for how to get staffed. I look at consulting as my personal business with a safety net. If you think of it this way, you’ll find it means that it’s reliant upon you to create business for yourself. Your entire network should know you’re available. Pings, emails, and virtual coffee meetings are all necessary parts of everyday. Don’t have a network? Better get involved and make one. Start with BD work through your practice and get involved with ERG. Not enough skills? Train your head off with all your extra time until your skillset is just too hot to pass up. Bench time is a gift of a safety net and too many use it as a vacation. HTH…
Thanks, this is really helpful. It is definitely easy to get distracted and treat is as downtime or a “vacation” especially when there’s no hard deadlines or tasks but you’re absolutely right that it’s up to each person. It still sucks though for people who don’t have a strong “go-getter” mindset as others.
