I have got 18 days of unused PTO and I am planning to initiate my resignation process in few days. Couple of questions
- Does Deloitte payout all the unused PTO days ? Is there a limit to the number of pay out days ?
- if answer to above question is no, how did you all handle this situation. Did you take PTO before notice period ?
*trying to stay in good terms !

You are literally owed that PTO. There’s no limit and everyone gets paid out PTO when they leave. Don’t take any that you don’t have to. Some people leave with 30+ days accrued at higher levels than you and get multiple tens of thousands paid out
I have over 300 and thinking of getting a new job to get a payout. Sounds crazy but I’ll probably get a pay bump as well
If in the US: Divide your salary by 2080 & that number times 152 (18 days x 8 hrs) - that’s the amount you’ll cash out, taxed as bonus.
I was paid over 20 days when I left.
*withheld like a bonus. It is taxed the same as income, just like a bonus is
In deloitte usi, you can accrue a maximum of 60 PTOs and all unused PTOs should get encashed as part of your FNF. This is applicable only for PTO, any sick/casual leaves will not be encashed

Yeah, I was paid out 28 days last month in PTO

I left in December 2020, and was paid for all of my unused PTO (approx. 22 days). I took a couple days of PTO after giving notice since I got married. If you want to take the PTO before you give notice you can, but it obviously delays for start date in your new role (by a month in your case).
Legally all companies have to payout PTO *unless your contract says they don’t or you don’t live in one of the states where it’s required by law. Yes, D does payout lol
