Starting my counseling career on Tuesday and I’m scared to fail. What if I say something stupid and hurt my clients and make it worse? Currently interviewing for a role at Amazon that is listed as a CW position, but I have direct experience in the product and capabilities this role is seeking, and the hiring manager is moving me forward. What is the likelihood that if I tried to negotiate from a CW to FTE, I would get the position?

Could someone explain what finance closing process is? I passed CPA and have audit experience but I don’t really understand how industry accounting cycle works :( What does it mean to close the books? Are they referring to 12/31 deadline? Do all JE have to be recorded within this date? How does one close it?

I am currently at 146k TC, they are offering 190k TC.

I originally wanted a director level role to set the strategy, process, and tools.

Instead I am just being asked to develop the tools.

My hypothesis is a clear lack of strategy and no accountability for process compliance will mean any tools developed will fail.
