What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? They did not have a detailed discussion regarding the compensation .
But they told i will be getting link for uploading documents and then hr would be discussing for compensation.

Interesting experience at an interview today. Apparently 7 years in PA is not "real world experience" which is required for a private job.

It’s now been about a month since I cold applied to all big 4 firms for upcoming winter internships. I’ve tried reaching out to some of the recruiters in the area I applied for but no response. Is this white flag territory or is there still hope? And if it’s the ladder is there anything I can do to speed up the process or is it just a waiting game.

How long does it take to get a job , when you actively apply every day for weeks. Or better still how do I do it right?

CFP study programs:

I'm a little confused on Danko - does he offer a self-study option for the coursework requirement? On his website it looks like each module has a 4-day virtual class which I wouldn't be able to attend due to working full time. Does this program also include self-study material, and the classes are just supplementary/optional? I was also looking at Dalton for self-study and Danko for test prep. Thoughts?

I’m job searching right now and applied for a job I was a little overqualified for just to shoot my shot and get my foot in the door with a great brand. The hiring mgr took the time to email me to tell me I was overqualified and offered to help me get connected to his network. He’s been so kind and helpful and I’m kind of in shock at his generosity. Even if an offer doesn’t come from it, is it weird if I send him a Starbucks gift card or something as a thank you? What’s appropriate?

Hi Fishes, I have received an offer for the role of Senior Manager (Accountant) from Congnizant for 20LPA (66% higher than current CTC) & Flexible Work Location. I'm already due for promotion in my current organization which gives me 20% hike from July 2022. If I consider this hike. Cognizant offer 20LPA is 38% increase. Should I ask more from Cognizant? Should I resign on the basic of breakup communication or wait for offer letter ?

I kind of feel that the HR I am talking with isn't that approachable. Is this kind of a norm. In VOIS. I am little hesitant to proceed with accepting the job offer from VOIS due to this.
