I seek career advice. I've been unemployed for 1.5 years but recently got a job at a service company. I also interviewed with other firms, was selected for all, but their offers have been on hold for two months. I'm especially eager to join the company where the position is on hold because it matches my experience. That offer doesn't require indirect experience, and the notice period is 60 days. Now, I'm unsure how to proceed.

didn't pass the loop for an L7 role earlier this month, and i found a good suitable l6 role. One of the interviewers added me on linkedin a few weeks back- is it inappropriate if i reach out to him to say thanks and ask him to put in a word for me with hiring manager for the l6 role?
