I have been going on interviews and noticed 2 department heads already assume I was laid off or fired due to a 4 months gap. I explained I left my last role due to short term health issues that have been resolved. Not even sure how to respond when they assume. Any advise? Thanks!

I heard from my head that there is a lot of slowdown in VW Germany... There is Hiring freeze, level freeze and all ... And soon that will spillover to india. So be prepared for very less hikes in coming cycle :( Also automotive sector in general is struggling with tesla laying off 10% workforce recently. Maybe time to make a move? What do you say fishes?

I’m a L9 consultant based out of San Francisco, California who was impacted by recent lay off at Accenture. I wanted to understand as per WARN Act California employees are to be given at least 60 days notice, however I was only given 3 weeks notice. Can I challenge this?

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I applied to one of the roles and after initial screening I happened to see in the website that there are no suitable openings for my profile.

I heard that the cool off period is six months. Does that apply to my situation because I didn't attend any interview.

Can I use referals to apply before 6 months? Or should I wait for 6 more months?
